Role Overview
As the Site Health + SEO Specialist, you'll focus on the performance, stability, and visibility of our websites. Your work will reduce technical issues, support team productivity, and improve search rankings through proactive maintenance, analytics tracking, and targeted SEO tasks — including optimizing for AI-driven search experiences and maintaining robust GA4 tracking infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve search rankings through ongoing keyword research and Semrush analysis
- Identify and fix technical SEO issues that affect visibility and performance
- Review and improve content based on gaps, ranking opportunities, and user intent — including structuring content for AI Overviews, featured snippets, and generative search experiences
- Monitor SEO health scores and take action to raise overall site performance
- Update plugins and complete basic WordPress maintenance
- Track changes in rankings and site metrics to guide next steps
- Maintain and audit GA4 properties, including event tracking, conversion goals, custom dimensions, and GA4 reports/explorations
- Configure and troubleshoot GA4 data streams, ensuring accurate data collection across all managed sites
- Maintain clean site structures that support long-term growth
- Monitor visibility in AI-generated search results (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) and adapt content strategies accordingly
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in SEO with hands-on Semrush use
- Proficiency with GA4, including event setup, custom reports, and conversion tracking
- Ability to translate data insights into clear SEO improvements
- Working knowledge of WordPress, including plugin updates and routine maintenance
- Familiarity with keyword research, on-page SEO, and basic technical SEO
- Understanding of how to optimize content for AI search visibility (structured data, E-E-A-T, topical authority)
- Ability to identify issues and take action without waiting for direction
- Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4)
Preferred
- Experience with Google Tag Manager for GA4 event implementation
- Familiarity with AI search behavior and prompt-style query optimization
- Basic knowledge of HTML or site speed optimization Comfort working with Oxygen Builder
- Familiarity with ClickUp
- Experience supporting content teams with SEO recommendations, including AI-assisted content workflows
- Knowledge of accessibility standards
- Experience with schema markup to support rich results and AI answer eligibility
Reporting Line
Reports to the Technology Program Manager and works closely with the lead Web Developer and the UX/UI Designer.
Job Location & Work Hours
This is a full-time position with the option to work remotely if you are located outside a 45-minute drive from Dothan, AL.
Candidates within a 45-minute drive will be required to work in-office.
Local team members may work remotely one day per week, depending on team needs and role requirements.

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT
