Legal Associations Management Overview

Legal Associations Management (LAM) is a medium-sized service and technology company that manages multiple professional associations from a centralized location. Our staff utilizes various technologies to make decisions about growing and maintaining our current associations, as well as seeking out new opportunities for company growth.

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Data Analyst for LAM will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects related to the vast amount of data available to our team every day. Through the use of our membership management software, as well as external programs such as Microsoft Excel and Tableau, the Data Analyst will directly assist the CFO with extrapolating valuable information from the available data and presenting it in a useful way to the rest of the management team for the purpose of guiding important business decisions.

The following are a few examples of projects that the Data Analyst will spearhead:

  • Gathering statistics from recent membership mail-outs to help determine the success rates of messaging for particular targets in a specific time frame
  • Analyzing the conversion rates of our call team during specific renewal or re-invitation campaigns
  • Assessing the effectiveness of an extra phone call following a paper mail invitation for a specific organization, compared to just a standard paper invitation being mailed alone

Under the direct supervision of the CFO, you will be guided and trained on how to get started with each of these projects, and you will work with multiple members of the team to confirm your results and relay your findings.

In addition to specific projects, you will also be involved in the following responsibilities:

  • Assist the finance team with weekly and monthly meeting preparation
  • Pull and prepare weekly reports for management and certain staff meetings
  • Sync data across multiple association databases when needed
  • Contribute to pre-meeting analysis with the CFO and finance team when necessary

For this position, basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important, but additional training will be provided for Excel as well as Salesforce and Tableau.
