Business Development Specialist

Legal Associations Management (LAM) is a service and technology company that manages and services multiple professional associations using proven systems and processes to help ease the operational burdens that associations face. Our staff utilizes specific technologies to produce and analyze data in order to make decisions about growing and maintaining our customers’ associations, while continuously seeking out new opportunities for company growth. 

Our LAM team environment is casual, fun and fast-paced. Our team members strive to grow personally and professionally while pushing the limits every day.  We are ultimately looking for someone who is motivated to set and achieve goals while making the most out of collaboration. In addition, we are seeking someone that understands the benefits of clarity and has a natural attraction toward taking action and proactively making things happen. 

Required Skills: 

  • Sales or Business Development experience; OR completion of 4-year college degree 
  • Experience achieving both day-to-day and long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions necessary to achieve them 
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and problem solving-skills 
  • Ability to understand and follow direction 
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and self-motivation capabilities 
  • Understanding of and respect for the chain of command and reporting structure 

Responsibilities: 

  • Service existing accounts and contact prospective clients daily 
  • Plan needs and set priorities in order to execute business strategy  
  • Maintain a focus on established goals and the importance of achieving sales revenue 
  • Generate weekly status reports regarding sales and communication outreach 
  • Develop a strong understanding of the industry, company services, products, and platforms 
  • Work creatively with the team and leadership to generate revenue 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related disciplines. 
  • Proven experience with direct sales and new account generation 
  • Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) software – Salesforce preferred
